01

Haircuts

A cut you can keep up.

Say how short you want the sides and how much to leave on top. Mention what you do with it in the morning. If you want a change, show a photo and point at the part you like.

Try saying

  • “Same as last time, a little cleaner.”
  • “Keep the length on top.”
  • “I don’t use product.”

Fades & tapers

Where the short part starts.

A taper eases in and keeps some length. A fade runs shorter, sooner. For either one, the call that matters is where the blend begins: low by the ears and neck, in the middle, or high up the sides.

Try saying

  • “Low taper, keep it soft.”
  • “Start the blend higher.”
  • “Leave the neckline natural.”

Beard work

Edges first.

Cheek line, neckline and length are the three decisions. Say what you want to keep and what you’re growing out. For a haircut and beard in the same visit, look for the combined service under your barber on SQUIRE.

Try saying

  • “Clean up the neckline, keep the length.”
  • “Sharper cheek line.”
  • “I’m growing it out.”

Kids’ cuts

Plan it before you sit down.

Kids’ cuts are listed on SQUIRE, and the details can differ by barber, so read the listing first. A photo, plus how short on the sides and how much on top, is all your barber needs.

Try saying

  • “Short on the sides, longer on top.”
  • “Same as his last cut.”
  • “Just a trim.”

Say it your way

What do you
want to keep?

You don’t need barber vocabulary. Pick a topic for a way to start.

01 / Length

“Keep some length on top.”

Show how much you want to keep, or point to a photo. Mention a fringe, part or curl you want to work with.

Choose the details
when you book.

Services, prices and open times are on SQUIRE and can differ from barber to barber. Check the description before you confirm.
